Marketing & Brand Manager – Ecommerce Mobility Company  Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands (Hybrid)

Exceptional career opportunity for a Marketing & Brand Manager to join a D2C eCommerce mobility company established in 2010, based in Amsterdam and with retail units across Europe and the USA.

Reporting to the CEO, you will develop and execute the marketing calendar and increase brand awareness through PR, Social Media (Owned) and collaborations (influencers, platforms, outdoor, expert panels, partnerships etc.) and campaign & brand management.

Managing a small and growing team, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Develop a multi-channel marketing calendar to increase brand awareness. We aim to be the top Premium eBike brand in The Netherlands and Germany and continue establishing our position as a market-leading Urban eBike Brand in the USA.
  • Develop a brand strategy per region.
  • Develop and execute the multi-channel marketing calendar for the European and USA markets.
  • Develop a stellar marketing team to support you and achieve your vision on brand strategy.
  • Have a content vision that you can translate to the content team and support them in executing your vision.
  • Develop a ‘branded’ PR strategy, creating at least one significant PR moment each quarter in both regions (Europe and USA).
  • You activate and centralise their hubs (Brand Stores) and apply a city-take-over strategy to increase local brand engagement and utilise their local presence in an omnichannel-focused marketing strategy.
  • Develop a network of influencers across the Dutch, German and US markets.
  • Work closely with the eCommerce team to understand, identify and steer performance by identifying customers, analysing the customer journey and reporting on NPS and overall customer satisfaction.

Ideal career experience:

  • Experience with the creation and management of KPI-driven content & multi-channel marketing strategies.
  • Retail D2C eCommerce sector experience.
  • Experience in a start-up / scale-up company is preferred.
  • A creative and structured way of planning and executing.
  • A natural project manager: You set clear paths and include milestones leading to assessment, reflection and optimisation.
  • 5+ career experience in Marketing, Brand Management, PR in a similar role.
  • The managerial experience to lead the Creative content team (both internal and external) and the vision to build your marketing team.

Reporting to the CEO, you will work closely with management and the operational team and be responsible for setting up a world-class eCommerce-driven sales organization.

Managing a growing team, your responsibilities will be to:

  • Define, develop and execute D2C strategies to enhance online sales and brand engagement.
  • Own the end-to-end experience of our D2C channel, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
  • Unleash the power and potential of the brand stores and smoothly connect the online and offline channels and activities.
  • Forecast and measure the channel performance and adjust priorities where necessary.

  • Experience in leading an eCommerce team.
  • Strong knowledge of eCommerce KPIs, user experience (UX), online sales techniques and experience with data and analysis to, bring a data-driven approach to decision-making and prioritization of resources.
  • Experienced in operating both strategically and tactically in a high-energy, fast-paced and agile environment in the DTC field.
  • Experience in a start-up / scale-up company is preferred.
  • Experience working in a Shopify eCommerce environment and Google Analytics.

Working closely and reporting to the CEO as an integral member of the management team, you will be co-responsible for the company to achieve profitable growth and development into a true eCommerce brand. We’re looking for an experienced Finance & Operations Director, with five+ years of experience in managing and growing scale-ups companies ideally in the eCommerce and / or omnichannel domain, preferably in the D2C domain.

The Role

As the Operations Director, you provide the leadership, management and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, people and systems in place to effectively grow the organization and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency. As the Finance Director, you will be responsible for developing, monitoring and evaluating the overall strategy with the CEO and leaders of business units with emphasis on bottom line performance, working capital and enhancing share and stakeholder value.

Primary responsibilities: Finance Director:

Exceptional career opportunity for an experienced Senior Finance Manager with team management and growth experience to join an internationally recognised recruitment solutions company with 600+ interim contractors on their books.

We are looking for a senior hands-on finance professional to manage the Dutch finance team (6 FTE). Good communication is key for success, as communication to and stakeholder management of the finance team, business leaders (responsible for the recruitment operations) and Group Board is required. Working closely together (‘in tandem’) with the group controller on delivering reporting and improving processes linked to finance is essential.

We are looking for a person that has the potential to grow to a Finance Director role, which would expand the responsibility to e.g. finance operations of newly acquired businesses and/or operations support.

Any experience within the recruitment industry and/or payroll is considered a huge benefit, as a large part of the Dutch revenue comes from contracting, in which the process around payroll is essential.

Responsibilities include:

Responsible for the efforts and results of the financial department. Strong focus on managing the Finance team (both people management and management on day-to-day activities) in the Netherlands.

  • Prepare all company accounts for all the NL Group entities.
  • Provide input to and assist group controller in preparing monthly and annual financial reports, trends, and financial forecasts
  • Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports
  • Prepare Margin analysis and Balance Sheet monthly reconciliation per GL account
  • Prepare Payroll data for the external field employees and internal employees.
  • Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems, including payroll and invoicing
  • Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported
  • Prepare budgets and financial plans for the NL group companies
  • Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
  • Report to the Business leaders & Group CFO with timely and accurate financial information
  • Assist the Group CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders, and board members.
  • Establish good working relationship with stakeholders incl. Bank, auditors and Group Controller.
  • Motivate and lead Finance staff for NL group entities by supporting their activities and providing helpful feedback
