Responsibilities
Leading the Board of Directors
- Providing leadership, setting agendas, and promoting constructive discussions among board members. Ensuring that the organisation is on the right track and that the right leadership is in place to drive growth and success.
Overseeing the executive team
- Establish a close working relationship with the Chief Executive, providing mentorship, support and advise.
Strategic Planning and Oversight
- Shaping the strategic direction of the company, working closely with the board and executive team to develop and implement long-term goals and objectives. The Chairperson’s oversight ensures that the company stays on track and meets its strategic milestones.
Ensuring Good Corporate Governance
- Upholding ethical practices, ensuring compliance, and overseeing effective risk management.
Facilitating Effective Communication
- Bridging communication between the board and executive team, ensuring smooth information flow. ensure alignment between the investors and the leadership team to ensure the board is effective, productive and high performing. The Chairperson will provide oversight, helpful advice, and mentorship for the benefit of the company, its stakeholders and the management team.
