Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the leadership team to drive short and long-term goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Measure and track performances in all technical key functions of the company.

Interim Chief Financial Officer – Venture Capital Fund Berlin, Germany

Exceptional opportunity for an experienced CFO to join an early-stage venture capital and crypto investment firm who is looking to hire a driven and entrepreneurial Interim CFO to join their team in Berlin on a 12-month contract.

The fund invests in early-stage technology companies and crypto networks mainly across Europe and the US.

As Interim CFO, your responsibilities would include (but not be limited) to:

● Work with the investment team in analysing financial and legal aspects of potential

investment opportunities (cap tables, term sheets, round modelling, financing

and shareholder agreements, SPAC,, etc.)

● Manage service providers (due diligence, legal) during transactions

● Carry out financial analysis on a portfolio and fund level (key metrics such as NAV,

DPI, TVPI, net and gross IRR, reserves analyses, etc.)

● Work on and model portfolio company valuations as well as create new crypto models

● Set up new funds and investment vehicles in the US and Germany

● Find and manage all their service providers across several vehicles / jurisdictions

● Oversee and optimise tax, structural and legal aspects of the fund and management company – together with legal counsel and tax advisors

● Manage all aspects and ensure best in class quality of reporting to the fund’s investors

● Work with our portfolio companies to increase and improve their financial reporting function & provide them with ad hoc requests

● Manage internal processes, incl. budgeting and special projects

● You will be responsible for overseeing and mentoring our Finance Manager

The firm is looking for an Interim CFO with the following background:

● Minimum 8 years professional experience at either

○ The transaction support group of a large accounting and audit firm,

○ The finance team of an private equity or venture capital firm, or

○ Any role that would offer a similar experience and background

● With experience in modelling and financial concepts / valuations

● Very good English spoken and written skills
